‘Jashnn’ from Vishesh Films, have fused talents with technology in their two promotional song videos. They have made used of VFX with the help of Mumbai based Post Production house called FutureWorks. The brain behind is the director of the movie Mohit Suri who along with VFX supervisor, Abhishek De, and Canadian Freelance Colourist, Catherine Pantazopoulos, brought out the fabulous song tracks. Take an exclusive look at their impressive work behind the songs.

Darde Tanhai – This romantic sad song is composed of multi layers on which the artists have worked to bring out the final product and it involved lots of planning beforehand. The team has artistically played around with the speed levels and colour saturation in both the front and background scenes. The red colour in the background is highlighted but at the same time maintained it from being too prominent while other colours have been de-saturated to avoid a black-white background.

Nazare Karam – This is meant to be a colourful peppy song in which the actor is shown singing on a stage in front of a large audience. So the production team has worked around with two colours – red on left side and green on the right - and merged the audience effect through crowd multiplication techniques. The song involved lot of work to bring the desired colourful effect and for this the team used the white lights of the real scene and mixed it with colours later.

The much-awaited biggie KAMBAKKHT ISHQ started with a bang last night. The film grossed 100% collections in paid previews on Thursday night. In Mumbai alone, the paid previews were held at 62 screens and the film garnered 100% collections. On Friday morning, the early morning shows, i.e. 9.30 am / 10 am shows opened to 90% - 95% occupancy. Places like Rohtak [East Punjab circuit] collected Rs. 55,000 nett against Rs. 60,000 house full capacity. Amritsar will be collecting Rs. 1 lac, which is over-capacity by 200/250 audience. Lucknow was 90% - 95% in morning shows. The audience report is very positive.

KAMBAKKHT ISHQ works in most parts thanks to the kind of star power and energy that the two actors pack in -- Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. It would've been difficult to hold the film from falling apart had the two actors not been competent enough to carry off their respective parts. Also, the presence of Hollywood stars -- Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards -- the first on the Hindi screen, is an added bonus. 1 pe 2 ka offer; Bollywood stars ke saath Hollywood free!

The focus is on the entertainment quotient. There are moments when you laugh so uncontrollably that it gets embarrassing and there are times when you continue smiling, even during the most ordinary scenes.

But KAMBAKKHT ISHQ dips in its second hour because you expect it to be as frivolous as the first hour, but it changes tracks and gets emotional. Things would've gone wrong had the end stumbled and fumbled, but it doesn't. The finale, in fact, takes the film back to the level that one expects from a film of this magnitude.

To sum up, KAMBAKKHT ISHQ offers you value for time and also, value for money. It offers loads of entertainment in those 2 + hours, loads of glamour in those 130 odd minutes, from start to end. Sure, there are blemishes, but they're trivial when you look at the larger picture.

KAMBAKKHT ISHQ explores the relationship between two individuals who are as different as chalk and cheese. Viraj [Akshay Kumar] is a stuntman in Hollywood, who lives by the mantra 'women are only good for two things'. Simrita [Kareena Kapoor] is a firebrand who is more than able to stare down the most arrogant male with her caustic wit and sardonic tongue.

So what happens when the two people who hate each other the most meet at Simrita's best friend Kamini's [Amrita Arora] and Viraj's brother Lucky's [Aftab Shivdasani] wedding? A wedding that both Viraj and Simrita are violently opposed to and desperate to stop. Sparks fly... the battle of the sexes in on.

Director Sabbir Khan's motive is simple: Entertain for the next 2 hours. The entire first hour moves at a lightening speed, making you enjoy the war of words between Akshay and Kareena at regular intervals.

The first half abounds in terrific moments, but I'd like to single out at least three...

One, the church wedding of Aftab and Amrita. When the battle lines are drawn.

Two, the sequence at the operation table, when Akshay spots Kareena.

Three, the interval point. The pendant connection. Howlarious sequences all!

The post-interval starts with a bang, with Akshay hearing the 'Om Mangalam' chant just about everywhere -- while sleeping, in the shower, in the rest room, even at an award function. The award function sequence is a double whammy. You get to watch Stallone and also the scene is superbly structured, executed and enacted.

Things are smooth sailing till the emotional angle comes up. The narrative dips in those 20 odd minutes. The mood suddenly shifts from laughter to sadness. The makers may argue that a twist in the tale is justified from the writing point of view, since the emotional track is vital for any love story, but the fact remains that one does miss the entertainment quotient here. In fact, the dip in the second hour erodes, to a large extent, the impression that the first half had built so magnificently.

Director Sabbir Khan picks up a theme that may catch you by complete surprise, but marinates it in entertainment, garnishes it well and presents it like never before. The review would be incomplete if we failed to highlight the grandiose look and the lavish production values thanks to the no-holds-barred expenses by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Each frame looks ostentatious and glitzy.

Music is up to the mark, with three interesting tracks -- 'Om Mangalam' [RDB], 'Lakh Lakh' and 'Bebo' [Anu Malik]. Cinematography [Vikas Sivaraman] is magnificent, with the DoP doing complete justice to the production values.

KAMBAKKHT ISHQ belongs to both, Akshay and Kareena. Akshay is dynamic this time. He received a lot of flak for CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA and there was this nagging feeling that the negativity would spill over to KAMBAKKHT ISHQ. But Akshay is in terrific form here and delivers, without a shred of doubt, a bravura performance. If you loved him in NAMASTEY LONDON and SINGH IS KINNG, you'd fall in love with Akki and his comic timing all over again this time.

Kareena left an indelible impression in JAB WE MET and creates a similar impact, albeit in a different role. Her role has shades of 'Poo' in K3G, but the glam looks combined with that rare confidence takes this performance to dizzy heights. Clearly, Kareena is miles ahead of her contemporaries as far as talent goes and this film proves it yet again.

Aftab and Amrita are perfect for their parts. Vindu Singh supports well. Javed Jaffrey doesn't make a mark because the role has no connection with the main plot. Kirron Kher is getting typecast. Boman Irani is hilarious in that lone sequence. Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards are well integrated in the narrative.

On the whole, KAMBAKKHT ISHQ will strike a chord with the youth and those who relish zany and madcap entertainers. The first half is tremendous, while the second half takes a dip, with the film picking up towards the climax. At the box-office, the film will see an earth-shattering opening weekend and a historic Week 1. It remains to be seen how this film fares in its second weekend/week, given the massive number of screens it has opened globally [2,000 +]. However, the timing is most appropriate [the viewer is thirsting for a biggie] and the hype is tremendous, which should prove very advantageous for the film.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi review

The film is long but it doesn’t drag and make you yawn. SRK is welcomed with open arms in a different get up, new comer Anushka Sharma is the best find of 2008 so far and apna Vinay Pathak as usual is versatile. So how did I come up with the above conclusions? This is how:

Cut to Amritsar. With a yellow suitcase, wearing a checkered shirt with grey trousers, in walks speccy Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan) with his beautiful wife Tanni (Anushka Sharma) in a red chudidar kurta.

The film opens with the couple not talking to each other due to the unforeseen circumstances which got them married. Surinder and Tanni live under the same roof but seems miles apart. Surinder works in Punjab Power but is powerless when it comes to making his married life bliss. Surinder’s good friend Bobby (Vinay Pathak), who owns a hair salon, comes knocking on his door in anger because Surinder did not tell him how and why he got married.

But after listening to Sahni’s side of the story he gets emotional. Then again comes knocking on the door self-invited guests and colleagues of Surinder from Punjab Power for free chicken and whiskey.

And then the first of many beautiful scenes in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi arrives after the guests leave – the confrontation scene between husband and wife where Tanni very bravely tells Surinder that she won’t be able to love him but promises to be a good wife.

Our common man has no option but to leave everything to Rab (God) to change his married life for good. Trying to get the smile back on her face, Tanni enrols herself in Amritsar’s one and only dance contest, entitled ‘Dancing Jodi competition’.

Then a transformation of character takes place. Surinder, desperate to find love from his wife, goes to Bobby’s salon for a makeover – asking Bobby change to his dull appearance to impress his gloomy wife, which becomes his only mantra in life, and to become a hip and happening dance partner for Tanni.

In the meantime, the makeover gets completed. Surinder turns into Raj, ‘naam toh suna hi hoga?’ He becomes Tanni’s dancing jodi and both bring back some love and laughter into one another’s lives.

Aware of the fact that Tanni doesn’t recognise him, Raj aka Surinder tries to keep her happy but for how long is the question.

The fun-filled ordinary first half gives way to the emotional and extraordinary second half and the movie climbs higher and higher.

Films are a work of fiction and make believe. So if a Krissh jumps across sky scrapers, no reviewer will question: “This is stupid, how can a human fly?”

But when Rab Ne releases, even more astonishing comments start coming in, such as: “How is it possible for Tanni not to recognise her husband even after the makeover. I’m sure she can recognise his voice.”

Fiction...make believe....rings a bell? Open your eyes!

You will walk out of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi not talking about its blown-out budget or its lengthy running time, but of its enormous emotive power, as big as the banner Yash Raj Films. You may think of it at first as a good old disaster movie (many critics thought the same way) but there is no terrorist threatening with bombs, nor a natural disaster to wreak havoc.

The baddie here is our own arrogance, shortsightedness and frailty. Aditya Chopra has written a warm and turbulent romance that is flung on to the dance floor, into the salon, and back again.

The film is dramatically well balanced so that our anticipations are held in check with surprises and an engaging story, while Adi fastidiously builds up the background.

This is how the film delivers its punch; we don’t just see the setting and the people, we can feel the environment, we can feel how each person would feel, we can feel the whole damn drama and the poetic, lyrical love story.

This is emotive cinema, a film that carries you (unless you are a die hard cynic with a heart that’s switched off) and involves you.

So if DDLJ created history and Mohabbatein broke box office records, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will do what both these films could not do – it will reinforce the notion that an exemplary marriage of superb writing and masterful cinematic artistry is more than a real possibility in today’s Bollywood.

Performances are unbelievable. SRK and Anushka Sharma are terrific, though Anushka shines, giving a haunting, eloquent performance as a young woman who fights free of the shackles of class to a more unconstrained relationship with the free-spirited Raj.

Shahrukh has this bouncing back ability. Everytime the critics try to write him down, this King writes his own destiny which changes the way people think about him. He is a joker in a pack of cards, more powerful than the ace.

Look out, too, for the spiky Vinay Pathak who is in his element.

Salim Sulaiman’s music is pleasing to the ears, especially the background score which cuts your heart and pierces right through, aided by some sharp cinematography by Ravi K Chandran, taut editing and some good special effects (especially the one where SRK shows Anushka the I Love You lighting).

In times when our India is grieving, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi brings resilience back to the film halls.

So tuck your shirt, wear your spectacles and if needed, spike your hair in your nearby salon and go to the nearest cinema to catch this light romantic entertainer with your favourite jodi.

Ghajini may be remake of a 90's movie called 'Memento'. Even though I haven't seen the apparently Tamil 'original' which came in 2006, I am sure that it is a major lifting of storyline from the Western film. In Memento which has come to be one of my fav movies, the Lead is played by Guy Pearce and he has this condition in his brain which prevents him from making new Long term memories. In technical language, his RAM works but his Hard Disk is corrupted. Hence he writes everything that he wants to remember on his body, by notes or tattoos coz he knows he will forget it soon. His motive and the reason to live for is his revenge. His wife is killed and raped by someone who's name is tattooed across his chest. He has to find him and kill him, even though he doesn't remember if he has already killed him. The last memory that he has is till the point of his wives death. He ends up killing people who could be his friends and it looks like he is being used by people who know about his condition for their own means. Very complicated movie since it goes backwards, and it has to be understood to be really appreciated. If this sounds like the Ghajini movie, then it is a major inspiration, right. But looking at the tattoos Aamir is sporting, I think it will resemble Memento, a lot.

Bollywood's once-heralded auteur jolted with his previous flops 'Yaadein', 'Kisna' and 'Black & White' is back with a yarn-spinning tale of emotions. Perhaps, ennoble Yuvvrraj – 'The Returns of Ghai in Town' and it's a directorial of finesse savoring to family audiences. On the pars, producers (Subash Ghai himself and Eros International) shore onto grounds of non-speculation with such superstars on the crew-list. Yup! Subash Ghai treads smart as a whip on posing over-the-top performers and roping crème de la crème technicians. Well, Salman-Katrina the sensational couple, Anil Kapoor's former combo hits with Subash, Modern-day Mozart A.R. Rahman tuning in melodies to Gulzar's lyrics and host of the visual fiestas cinematographer Kabir Lal canning exotic locales of Europe. And just pull your imaginations on these combos travailing on best notes for a beau idéal rendered by this virtuoso of all times.

On the grounds of reality, Yuvvraaj isn't the best as his classics Karz, Vidhaata and more. But, one fine rigid reason that lets everyone sing appraisals is the fact that your eyes doesn't take off from the screens for complete 180mins. As Subash himself utters, the film merely carries off with traces on his yesteryear classic 'Ram Lakhan' (theme of brotherly love). Not alone on emotions, the flick has moral on greed leads to wreck and precisely, something we got to learn at our Kinder Garden levels. On this screen, greediness eclipses all over and latter half it's all about reveling emotional relationships that diminishes the vicious elements.

Placed at the exotic backdrops of Austria, Deven Yuvvraaj (Salman Khan) and Anushka (Katrina Kaif) are in love and as clichéd; her father Dr. Banton (Boman Irani) obstructs their relationship. On the initial stages, it's between Deven-Banton and scenario shifts onto different vistas as Deven's father lasts his breath in London. Not for affection and paying homage, Deven gets back to his hometown seeking for shares in father's wealth. Over there, he encounters his unloved brothers Gyanesh Yuvvraaj (Anil Kapoor) and Danny Yuvvraaj (Zayed Khan).

Gyanesh Yuvvraaj possessing autism from his childhood goes the apple-of-eye for everyone in the family, once attorney-close friend of his father (Mithun Chakraborthy) reveals that entire property is favored on him. Not alone Deven and Danny, but other relatives sham themselves to be good with their opprobrious inner evil intentions.

What makes the film so colossally spectacular? Undoubtedly, it's melodious tunes of Rahman and Kabir Lal's visualizing of emblazoned locations. Moreover, on-screen actors performing a different show with their distinct roles surmount your prospects. It's a complete show by Anil Kapoor and this man transfixes your with his simpatico-kind-of-role. Be it his mirthful encounters with Salman or the emotional outbreak in the penultimate, he overshadows everyone and each prop in the frame. Don't miss his fabulous gestures after watching handycam in the climax. Hats off to Subash Ghai! His genuineness of inserting symbolic representation where Anil Kapoor breaks the masks on table after viewing handycam is superb. Of course, the song 'Dil Ka Rishta' following this sequence as broken mask at backdrops of stage. It's something you call 'Director's cut'. A new dawn and a great break for Zayed Khan and let him thank Subash for it. Hope, directors watch out for his performance offering him best roles in future. With her cherubic looks and decent performance, Katrina Kaif steals the show and watching her play cello, it looks realistic. No wonder in appreciating her looks alike of Princess Diana at certain parts. Boman Irani pulls your attention with his laudable performance in all contexts, especially in the climax. Aushima Sawhney sways with finesse and ditto to Anjan Srivastava as antagonist. Salman Khan establishes a perfect room with his pleasing act on all scenarios till the final credits (similar to Om Shanthi Om).

On narration, Yuvvraaj doesn't start off with a gripping screenplay and perhaps, it's merely bits-n-pieces of lad and missy in love and father opposing their relations. Well, things shift on paradigms once Mithun Chakraborthy appears on the screen and unravels a great surprise amongst other characters. Few flaws of uninteresting parts may be spotted in the first half and everything goes diminished in the penultimate of 20-25mins binding your hearts, soaking eyes with tears and sparkling your lips with smiles. It's very rare amongst auteurs blending different emotions within short durations and Subash Ghai deserves grand appreciations for it.

Rahman's musical score is refreshing with 'Tu Hi Meri Dost' and 'Dil Ka Rishta'. Merely, visualizations could have been better for 'Tu Hi Meri Dost' as he could've avoided Computer Generated works. Background score works well, especially where Salman reveals his inner intentions to Anil Kapoor after sipping drinks and penultimate sequences are top-notching. Kabir Lal's cinematography mesmerizes everyone and his enchanting shots of European locales goes in-hand with Rahman's musical. It's a billion dollar question why Subash Ghai had to pass-scenes while characters drive car on such beautiful locales.

As a whole, Yuvvraaj is splendiferous in all parts with exceptional performance by all and it's a perfect family entertainer. With previous week's releases gradually getting down on charts and no big releases awaited couple of weeks ahead, Subash Ghai can host a lavish party for the entire team as collections are sure to brim over producers' sacs. Of course, A.R. Rahman should be ready tuning rock-blast party songs for his successful venture with Subash Ghai and so would be performers.

Ram Gopal Varma has denied that he is planning a movie

Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has denied reports he was planning to make a movie on the bloody assault on Mumbai.
'It's a figment of their (media's) imagination. I have no such plans (to make a movie on Mumbai's 27/11 terror strike),' Varma told IANS.
The filmmaker is known for making true-to-life movies. He recently made 'Contract' on the nexus between the mafia and terrorists.
The media had on Sunday highlighted Varma's visit to the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, accompanying Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who had gone to the 105-year-old hotel for a first-hand assessment on the extent of damage.

This movie will definitely be worth it guys! take it from me after the trailer, man did i see spots of trainspotting, requiem for a dream in this or am I high.
Good to see Bollywood experimenting with stuff other than musical romances, goddamn i t i was gonna stop watching bollywood movies last year until i saw 'Bheja Fry', it was good and revived my hopes that Bollywood may get some sense and stop those fucked up love story barrage at us. Abhay deol was critically acclaimed for a few movies I read, and hoping that this will be kickass!!!

Celebrity Big Brother is coming back.

British broadcaster Channel 4 is reviving reality television show "Celebrity Big Brother", which was taken off-air following a race row involving Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, it said Wednesday.

Shetty, who won the 2007 series, had been referred to as "Shilpa Poppadum" by fellow contestant Jade Goody and faced derogatory comments about the eating habits of Indian people.

The show, which attracted around 45,000 complaints and sparked furious protests in India, was pulled soon afterwards as part of what Channel 4 said was a wider shake-up to make room for new programmes.

But now Channel 4 head of programming Julian Bellamy has said: "We're bringing it back because it's a brilliant programme.

"I adore it... It's still an extraordinarily powerful show. It's back by popular demand, a very welcome addition to our schedules." A spokesman for Channel 4 said he did not immediately have details of when the new series would air or who would appear on it.

Goody signed up to appear on the Indian version of "Celebrity Big Brother", "Bigg Boss", this year but pulled out in August after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.

For all who ever intended 'World of Fashion' is something about fun, glamour and ramp shows, Madhur Bhandarkar enlightens them. Rendering the best realistic themes in each of flicks, Madhur Bhandarkar had conquered the hearts of world-wide audiences. Of course, his top-notching directorial 'Fashion' surmounts our expectations and to define the film, it's 'Wordless'. Lots and lots of ramp walks, backstage happenings, photo shoots of alluring missies, kingpins of Fashion World and more than all, you have drearier slope of it unveiled. Uh-Huh! Blended with these aspects, Bhandarkar crafts a melodrama of three supermodels and their transcending lives. Indeed, the very tagline 'In the World of Fashion, You will have to give more than your morals' wins the applause. Famous philosopher Stella Blum quoted "Fashion is so close in revealing a person's inner feelings. It's really too close to the quick of the soul." These phrasings have a deep relevance with this film and obviously it is so close to everyone's heart.

In this trenchantly spelled piece of work, Bhandarkar has his galaxy inclusive of best star-casts who are so realistic in their performance. Despites filled with 'Glitz' n 'Glam', the film offers more on other quotients… Where does the film lag behind? Not at many points, but Bhandarkar could have penned his screenplay bit precisely in the latter half.

However, karma catches up with Meghna as she slowly starts to pay the price for her fame and her journey to the top. Her attempt at a comeback was going to be a near impossibility but she was never a woman to turn away from a challenge. On the pars, the film focuses on other two models: A top-charting model Shonali (Kangana Ranaut), so hard-pressed in her life. Jannet (Mugdha Godse), an aspirational model who has to compromise certain things in her life and settling down with her marriage.

"Fashion" explores the world of style through the emotional personal journey of the key people that make the industry, the dream-weavers of that elaborate world of glamour: the models, designers, photographers, businessmen, agencies etc.

'Smart as a whip' - A perfect metaphor to fix the earnest work of Madhur Bhandarkar and grand round applause for hitting bull's eyes with a reality theme. It's so realistic and to make it so precise, watch out the sequence where Madhur himself appears on the screen where models says, "He's gonna make a film on Fashion". (Aae Logh Fashion World Ko Bhi Nahi Chod Sakthe).

Even the most minute factual has been picturized with crystal-clear modality. The egoistic nature of models, their frustrated attitudes (Kangana Ranaut), fashion choreographers as gays are so shocking for Indian audiences to accept. Reality really bites, isn't?

Priyanka Chopra spellbinds on her part without any flaws. A girl from small town and her varying colors of life: success and failures, innocence and arrogance; she strides rendering over-the-top performance on her characterization. It's not a long-drawn-out role that Kangana Ranaut dons, but her actions are mindblowing, especially in the latter part. Ditto to Mugha Godse; she does a decent job throughout the show.

Arbaaz Khan excels on the overall show while Arjan Bajwa does justice to his role. No words to describe the tremendous performance of Harsh Chhaya as gay designer. He carries off the show so perfectly on his part. Ashwin Mushran, Samir Soni and Kittu Gidwani tread with naturalistic approach breathing lives on their characterizations.

The auteur has picked in some of the most shocking facts; pathetic scenario of Kangna Ranaut and her wardrobe on the ramp. Was it a replica of what happened to Vikram Rathore's show before 3 months? You've got to ask Madhur about this.

The last few minutes of the flick may get you ungratified for the dragging screenplay, but everything is diminished in climax. Despites, prone to shocking news, the way how Priyanka acts to the situation once the lights are on are so prodigious.

Maybe, Madhur Bhandarkar hadn't focused so precisely on emotional quotients in his previous flicks of Page 3, Corporates and Traffic Signal. Over here, there are lots of those heart-melting sequences that'll let your eyes soaked with tears. Priyanka Chopra's care and affection for despaired Kangana Ranaut, parents' encouragement for forlorn Priyanka and friends extending their support; they are amazing.

Musical score by Salim-Sulaiman are magnificent and two numbers 'Jalwa' and 'Mar Jaava' grabs your attention. Signature theme of Fashion is played throughout the show in varying tempos and tones, but still they are electrifying your senses. Mahesh Limaye's cinematography is so detailed in each shot and if you are a great analyst of camera works, it's gonna be interesting for you. Niranjan Iyengar throws more life on each character with his dialogues. Of course, costumes and styling are grand fiestas for all…

Valuating 'Fashion' on the whole, it's strongly recommended for all the audiences. Madhur Bhandarkar has limned the real life drama of Fashion World that offer more surprises as well shocks. Not just in multiplexes, the film is sure to make high waves across other centres too. Hats off to entire team for a flawless and brainy show catering to all audiences… Bhandarkar not just presents the drama, but there is something more educative over here.

Golmaal Returns Movie Review

What should have really instigated Rohit and producers to churn out this flick? You wouldn't be able to zero down the precise reasons even after the show is over. To a greater extent, the film is so cranky and again what could be the traits making it look so? Clumsy jokes unapt for universal audiences. Totting up to the annoyance is nit-witted screenplay penned by Yunus Sajawal. It's a billion-dollar question how Rohit Shetty could elatedly turn the superfluous pages of Yunus into pictures.

And if you're there guessing could there be any solacements for audiences. Yup! Mind blowing performance by Tushaar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade offers best fiestas of humor. Doubtlessly, you are sure to break down with laughter as these character jape simultaneously on each other.

Gopal (Ajay Devgan), who lives with his wife Ekta (Kareena Kapoor), sister Esha (Amrita Arora) and a dumb brother-in-law Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), grinds to a halt in a yacht after saving an attractive woman Meera (Celina Jaitley) from some goons.

Both end up spending the nighttime on the yacht and when he comes home the next day, his distressing leery wife who is also a hardcore fan of the saas-bahu serials, smell fish.

Gopal knows it's going to be hard to quell her suspiciousness, so he concocts a cock-and-bull story about having stayed the night with a fabricated friend called Anthony Gonsalves. Ekta refuses to buy his yarn and writes to Anthony (on a fictitious address given to her by Gopal) asking him to visit her.

Gopal convinces his junior at work, Laxman (Shreyas Talpade) to pretend to be Anthony. Everything goes according to plan till the address to which Ekta had written to Anthony turns out to be real!

If that isn't complication enough for Gopal, a dead body is discovered at the location where he had saved Meera. The Investigating Officer, Madhav (Arshad Warsi), who is Esha's boyfriend and also who cannot stand the sight of Gopal, learns that the latter had been missing from home that eventful night and begins checking on him.

Promotions prior to release often sounded 'Biggest Comedy Title of 2008' and it's about dashing down your hopes after watching the show. It's a mediocre in terms of presentation. Bits and pieces of surprisals move you along with it, but not to a greater extent. Blemished screenplay lacking substance diminishes the crème de la crème efforts rendered by few best ones.

Rohit Shetty with his 'Sunday' won the credits as the best lollapaloozas, of blending murder-mystery with comedy (Call it 'Black Comedy'). The flick savored to everyone's tastes offering best entertainment. The scenario is quite bleak and contrastive here; nothing impressive that pulls you in.

Lots of actors and does everyone best deserve best credits? Must be quite straining for you all, going through so many questions. Comparatively, you would shoot out many more after the show. Ajay Devagan kindles – his 'Simpatico' catching breath of a struggling husband. Arshad Warsi lags behind with his goofy role. Kareena Kapoor deserves pat of appreciations as a leery wife. Despites, appearing on with a short role, Celina scores best. Amrita Arora and Anjana Sukhani, merely keep middling…

You'll have entire spotlights turning on Tushaar Kapoor as he eclipses everyone. Ditto to Shreyas Talpade; he treads highly-electrified rendering his laudable performance. Don't miss the rib-tricking takes between these lads; they're over-the-top. Ashwini Kalsekar, replica of Saawariya's Rani Mukherji and Arshad Warsi imitating Big B of Black hastens best of all laughter. Kya Hai Rohit Aur Sanjay Leela Bansali Ke Beech? (Ashwini Kalsekar planning to design her interiors with blue color is again a big gag).

Again, fallible technical aspects are a big letdown; neither music nor cinematography is up to the mark. Except, Neeraj Sridhar's 'Tha Karke' and 'Meow' by Suzy Q, nothing offers best scores.

As a whole, 'Golmaal Returns' is a light-headed entertainer, on the buttons plainly for pie-eyed individuals, while for others, enjoy if you want to…

Sammy (Sohail Khan) and Ali (Vatsal Seth) are childhood friends. They have taken joint decisions in life, right from choosing a school to taking up a career. Even though they are not like-minded, they are together because they rely heavily on each other - two bodies, one soul. Sammy is an eccentric boy, high-spirited and has an uncanny knack of finding humor in the weirdest of situations. He's generous, compassionate yet impulsive. He is like a kid who needs to fall to learn how to walk. Ali on the other hand is quieter and more mature.

'Heroes' is the story of these two boys who travel a thousand miles to deliver three letters as a part of their film school assignment. But little do they know that the journey they have embarked upon will give a new meaning to their life. They discover the power within themselves to change lives and events that are of importance. Heroes emphasizes on the simple experiences that can awaken feelings of patriotism. A fun road trip for two boys and a series of experiences that finite emotions that have never been experienced before, this is the underlying crux of the film.

The film goes inclusive of three different chapters as young lads meet three families pitiably bounced with demise of their beloved ones in war. First, they meet a widow (Preity Zinta) in deep village of Punjab, who lost her husband Balkar Singh (Salman Khan) during war. The flashback reveals a beautiful love story between both of them and the pain possessed by her.

Next person they meet is a disenabled ex-air force officer Vikram Shergill (Sunny Deol) in Himachal who is boozed up all the time. He narrates the life of his brother Dhananjay (Bobby Deol) and his death in war. An attribute that gets you more adhered is about brotherly bonding between them. Well, that's not an end; you have lots and lots that'll get you enthralled with this chapter.

Finally, the letter is delivered to a despaired father (Mithun Chakraborty) who has lost his son Sahil Nagvi (Dino Morea) in the war. Over here, there's something a bit missing that lets us down. Nevertheless, the emotional quotients diminish those factors keeping the pace moderately gripped up.

Hats off to Director Samir Karnik! An awesome flick… It enhances the emotional and patriotic feel amongst all the audiences. A smart way of storytelling precisely presents the film fantastically. How about negative traits? Fine! It doesn't carry much apart from lengthy flashbacks with bits 'n' pieces of flaws in third chapter (Mithun, Dino).

The actors meet the film's challenges every step of the way. Sohail Khan brims up with over-the-top performance on humor as well emotionally in the latter parts. Preity Zinta steals the show with her mind blowing gestures and trenchant style of uttering Punjabi… Salman strides outstandingly and his looks of Singh is cool. Sunny Deol grabs your attentions with his profound on performance. Well Bobby carries off the same credits and it would have been nice if his portion was elongated. Dino Morea and Vatsal Seth don't exceed your expectations and their performance is simply mediocre. Amrita Arora and Ria Sen have nothing more to perform before the lens.

Nothing to blame on technical aspects: Different backdrops of exotic locations have been fabulously canned by Binod Pradhan and Gopal Shah. Be it songs (especially 'Mannata' and 'Makhana') and background score, Sajid-Wajid sway enhancing the top-notched quality of film.

'Heroes' – A film that'll get your senses brimmed up emotionally and sure to be liked by all… Of course, the film reaches the tops the chart prior to other releases hitting screens for Diwali…

A Pakistani teenager's craze for a career in Bollywood has landed him in an Indian jail and his worried parents appeal for his release on humanitarian grounds.
Nasir Sultan, a Class 10 student and a diehard fan of the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, crossed over to India illegally to try and join the film industry.

After reaching Punjab in India, he called his parents in the North West Frontier Province to say he was in the neighbouring country.

Fifteen minutes later his parents got another call to say that their son had been arrested. Sultan's parents, who hail from Chukiatan, a small town of Dir district in NWFP, are now running from pillar to post to secure his release.

Like most Pakistani boys of his age, Sultan was an avid Bollywood fan and was fascinated by the many stunts in Hindi films that he hoped to excel at too. On August 16, Sultan left home for school wearing his uniform and carrying his schoolbag but instead crossed the border.

Two days later, his father Sultan Zareen, who works at a petrol pump, got a call from Sultan, who said he was on his way to Mumbai. This was followed soon after by the news of his arrest.

Sultan is being held in Faridkot Jail for the past two months. "I don't know what to do to secure his release as he is in another country where I have no influence or resources to use for winning his release," Zareen told The News daily.

Zareen said his wife was depressed and the Indian government should release his son on humanitarian ground.

Alas! Karzzz dashes down your expectations flubbing on every aspect: performance as well narration. Even it happened to be an archetypical piece of work by Director Satish Kaushik, the film has nothing great to be appreciated about. Perhaps, you'll get miffed up equating both the versions and better don't strain yourselves clinging on with it.

Re-incarnation stories would sound better if filled with either cliff-hanging quotients or a transfixing screenplay. Well, Karzzz doesn't seem to be treading on any of these aspects and of course, it has no solid solution to the riddle of reincarnation other than vengeance.

The protagonist Monty (Himesh Reshamiya) is an extremely successful Rock Star based in South Africa. Indeed, phenomenally popular across the country, he is worshipped like an idol. In course of one of the many parties he attends, he meets Tina (Swetha), a final year catering student. For Monty, its love at first sight. But, Tina returns home immediately, after leaving Monty fretting. That's when things start to change.

During one of his rehearsals, Monty starts playing a tune and suddenly goes into a trance, with intense visual flashes - a mansion, a temple, a beautiful girl... Monty collapses unconscious.

On further probe, he finds out; the mansion belonged to a certain Ravi Verma (Dino Morea), who died in a tragic accident. Another flash back reveals that Monty was Ravi Verma in his previous life, married to a beautiful girl called Kamini (Urmila Matondkar). Monty now has the grave realization of having been reborn in his current persona. His beautiful love interest (Tina) is none other than Kamini's foster daughter. From here starts Monty's new journey.

For starters it doesn't have a love theme that every Bollywood movie has to have. You know the boy meets girl thing. Even horror movies in our country have a storyline where the male ghost meets a female ghost, do they give birth to a baby ghost is my question. My Country loves love.

A Wednesday is a movie about the anguish of a common man and how bomb blasts can disturb him. Naseeruddin Shah decides to teach the government a lesson by scaring them into believing that he has planted 6 bombs in the city and he basically wants the callous attitude of the government and the people to stop, when dealing with terrorism. I think i agree with all that but aren't we callous in just about everything that concerns us or should concern us. We don't need vigilantes like Naseeruddin Shah to teach the government or the authorities the lesson of their life, We need to grasp the message of movies like Rang De Basanti first. If every citizen is awake we wont need vigilante justice. How different is Naseeruddin Shah's character from the Joker in The Dark Knight?. Except that the Joker enjoys what he is doing. Fucking the management of men and their rules.
When The Common Man says that he was devastated by bomb blasts, when everyone he knew by face disappeared in one day and one bomb blast, our heart goes out to him. But being practical helps here, what we should be focusing on is not everything terrorist or related to terrorism as we think we know it. Actually forget terrorism, more people die from malaria than terrorism in India. We should get our priorities right. Naxalism, Maoism, Mamataism, Poverty, Unemployment, Black Money, Regionalism, Illiteracy, Raj Thackeray, etc These are some of the problems we should be worried about. But no, when a bomb exploded in Delhi and there was one casualty, there was an attack in Assam by ULFA and about 30 odd people were gunned down. First page news was what people wanted to read, the one in Delhi. We are systematically being programmed to be afraid of what can be solved by any common man.

Bollywood runs on 'herd mentality', acknowledging only the successful films of actors and not their talent, says actress and former beauty queen Diya Mirza.

Missing from the big screen since her cameo in the box office dud 'Krazzy 4', Diya hopes that her off-beat film 'Bits and Pieces' opposite Rahul Bose is released soon.

She attributes her absence to the failure of her films and the industry's 'biased' attitude towards her.

'It was important for me to back off from films. I started my career on a good note with big banners, good producers and good actors, but the films didn't do too well. We live in an industry (Bollywood) that runs on a herd mentality. It functions only on the number of successful films you have, not your talent,' Diya told IANS in an interview.

Hello... is a tale about the events that happen one night at a call center. Told through the views of the protagonist, Shyam (Sharman Joshi), it is a story of almost lost love, thwarted ambitions, absence of family affection, pressures of a patriarchal set up, and the work environment of a globalized office.

Shyam is losing his girl friend because his career is going nowhere as he trudges his way around in a call center. His girl friend, Priyanka (Gul Panag), is also an agent like him at the call canter who is about to be snatched by an NRI techno geek.

There is also the aspiring model, Esha (Isha Gopikaar), who is hopping for the break that seems to be always already eluding her and the man about town, Varun (Sohail Khan), who is into well, things. The housewife, Radhika (Amirta Arora), who is constantly at the receiving end of her mother-in-law and a beleaguered grandfather, Military Uncle Vijay Pratap Chauhan (Sharath Saxena), who has been barred from interacting with his grandchild make up the rest of the call agents who see their worlds crumbling around them as the decisions of right sizing are conveyed by Bakshi (Dilip Tahil), the boss.
It is a night when dreams will finally crumble. Or will it? For there is that call from God. Narrated as a tale within a tale as a beautiful woman (Katrina Kaif) meets the auteur/ narrator (Salman Khan) and promises him a story on the condition that he has to narrate it further….
everyone does a neat job with Sharman and Sohail Khan turning entire spotlights on them. They are enthusiastic right throughout emoting to fun, frolic and emotional quotients. Gul Panag doesn't deliver the best performance other than sharing romantic sequences with Sharman. Amirta Arora's performance is quite good, but it would have been better if the auteur had penetrated more on to her characterization. Ditto to Sharath Saxena and he should have been well-utilized….
Overall a great movie and good acting by Salman Khan, especially the song Bang Bang Bang is a hit with his fans.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Saturday afternoon following abdominal pain, is responding well to the treatment. Earlier, reports stated that the actor might have to remain hospitalised for at least a week. However, it has now been confirmed in the latest Lilavati Hospital bulletin that Bachchan's tests don't indicate any abnormality and medicines are working just fine.

"He has an intestinal obstruction. He is responding well to the medication. The doctors have requested for 48 to 72 hours of observation. So, we will keep him in hospital for 48 to 72 hours," said Abhishek Bachchan while assuring fans of father's stable condition.

I just read this article in a local paper and the author had rightly stated my state of mind, "We can't police our Citizens". Why, firstly I hate the ad that is airing in TV that shows passive smoking as being killer and harmful and all that. Justification to a non issue, I think, Smokers themselves know what they are doing and they are grown men and women who run the country. Government doesn't decide what people want to do with their health. I think Junk food is affecting a bigger percentage of our populace and in a more harmful way than smoking or passive smoking. I wanna crush the guys balls who made this rule and I am a non smoker. It is weak to police your citizens, we are going the commie way and this may be the downfall of otherwise successful and wise UPA. The backlash of this will be bad. I am with you my fellow smokers, I know you may be hurting yourself and others in negligible percentage through your only means of recreation on the streets, temples, offices, balconies, markets, malls and pubs. But what these junk, porn addicted pedophiles are doing is not visible because they do it privately. Saturday was a normal working day for Bollywood and television world. The whole work in Bollywood industry came to standstill when Bollywood technicians and workers went on strike. The strike by Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) was called off on Friday evening after producers' association agreed to most of their demands. FWICE has 22 unions of 140,000 workers. This three-day strike created a major trouble for television producers as episodes of daily serials has to be shot regularly.

Some of the major demands of workers were less working hours, better pay and timely payment. The workers also complained about the producers hiring non-members of the union, as well as foreign extras and technician as this will results into job losses for them.

The film right throughout from-alpha-till-omega, you can keep construing the flimsy conceptualization of script, clichéd characterizations, and creepy-chaffing screenplay. In particular, it's the galling screenplay that keeps going on and on, until you would scream out of senses, 'Stop it please'. The film doesn't reach its apex so easily and this is sure to get you aggravated. Better, it would have been, if Goldie had sawed off the lengthy tangling story penned by Jaydeep Sarkar, Rohini Killough and Godlie himself.

Despites, producers churning out the flick so expensively for a lavish grand fiesta of visual treat, the unappealing tale work no wonder for the audiences. Of course, it's worth saying their wonders of visual effects get diminished with the insubstantial narratives.

Fine! Glimpse through synopsis of DRONA and take on with positive attributes as well the blatant flaws blended to it.

Being a fostered child, young charming lad Aditya (Abhishek Bachchan) hasn't experienced true affection and it's just the pain of chagrins rendered by his family. The pathetic scenario prolongs as Aditya grows up. There comes a diabolic necromancer Riz Raizada (Kay Kay Menon) whose predecessors are Asuras. Riz is deep on the pursuit of a valuable secret – Amrit. But, the mantra of unraveling it is about defeating Drona. Sounds pretty easy to find Drona, isn't? If you're there with those perceptions, it's a wrong guess for Riz doesn't know who Drona is.

Well, situations accidentally urge Aditya and Riz come face to face. Within fraction of seconds, straight from his shoulders Riz glimpses through the Kada wore by Aditya and recognizes him as Drona. With attempts of killing Aditya, Riz has his men chasing him and here gets in Sonia (Priyanka Chopra) rescuing him. It's not just about saving his life, but Sonia gets Aditya to realize about his true identity and why is being targeted. Situations are clearer for Aditya, once he meets his biological mother, Queen Jayanthi Devi (Jaya Bachchan) at the palace of his birthplace. But, before he could take on stands and realize how harder the situations are, Riz and his men have trapped him. Here begins the roller-coaster thriller ride of DRONA on the venture of defeating the evil entities.

Looks quite clichéd, when it comes to tale of conflict between good and evil, for we have seen it a zillion times in Hollywood flicks. Merely, again there's lot of ambiguities in fixing DRONA with its genres. If it's a fantasy, the protagonist may not posses any superpowers to fight against baddies. And then, if screenwriters wanted DRONA to be a superhero flick, then characterizations should have been equivalently powerful, especially in physiques. Fine! Abhishek with his hefty physiques convinces to certain extent and it's more ridiculous with the looks of Kay Kay Menon as the antagonist.

Abhishek Bachchan strides with trenchant piece of performance in all aspects. But, Priyanka doesn't deserve the same credits, for her performance goes insubstantial at certain points. Jaya Bachchan steals the show throughout her scenes and it would have been nice if more importance her characterization was still more significant. But, it's a great disappointment when it comes to Kay Kay Menon and Navneet Nishan.

Getting on with technical aspects, it's just the cinematography and VFX that works wonders. Chasing and Train sequences have been brilliantly shot. Hats off to cinematographer Samir Arya for his scintillating works, but he could have worked well on certain shots filmed in darkness. Musical score by Dhruv Ghanekar is a great disaster for none of them really sounds good. VFX effects tread marvelously when it comes blended with cinematography in train and chasing sequences. Be it the scenes where Kay Kay Menon transforms Jaya Bachchan into statue or when he pulls in Priyanka Chopra into racing yacht; they are awesome.

As a whole, Drona dashes down our hopes for it lacks solidity on all aspects. Probably, the pre-release promos would have got the theatres booked houseful for this longer weekend. But, it wouldn't cling into theatres for more days

Verdict: An unimpressive show

A very well made stylish film that thrillingly captures a kidnap crime drama. This film will impress all those who like action flicks. The innovative takes of the film will be appreciated by the audience.
The storyline and screenplay gives the director Sanjay Gadhvi an excellent opportunity to weave a stylistic crime drama. Dialogues are meaningful in the crucial scenes. Music is in sync with the narration of the story. Cinematography is on par with international standards. Editing and audiography are good.
Sanjay Dutt has given a power-packed performance and assayed his role as a troubled father with a lot ofconviction. Imran Khan is definitely talented and his interpretation of a negative role is very convincing. He emotes well.

Minissha Lamba, though putting on sexy outfits, gives a professional performance. Vidya Malvade is good in her role as a divorced woman. All other characters are adequate in their roles.

Sonia (Minissha Lamba) lives with her mother, Mallika (Vidya Malvade) Divorced from husband Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt), Mallika tries to bring up her daughter. Sonia wants freedom. When she goes out for a swim, she is kidnapped by Kabir Sharma (Imran Khan).

The kidnapper has a score to settle with Sonia’s rich father Vikrant who is living in New York. Vikrant is told by Kabir to follow a particular set of rules and tasks and complete them to get his daughter back.

Will Vikrant get his daughter back? Will the family unite? Has the kidnapper got his pound of flesh? The answers to these questions deal with the rest of the story.

Clearly he didn't have to. More than 100,000 Bollywood and television workers began an indefinite strike on Wednesday, protesting irregular pay and the hiring of non-union members, a move that could delay major releases for India's festival season.

Movie stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, as well as dancers, writers and technicians heeded a call for an indefinite "non-cooperation" protest in Mumbai, where Bollywood, home to India's prolific movie industry, is located.

"All shoots are off. The producers have not stuck to the terms of the agreement they signed with us one-and-a-half years back," said Dinesh Chaturvedi, general secretary of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, the umbrella union for Bollywood employees.

"Payments have been delayed by three months, six months, a year. And producers are hiring non-members to save costs. We are not happy to call for this non-cooperation, but we are helpless."

This was the first time in the 50 years of the federation's existence that such a protest had been staged, Chaturvedi said, adding that he was hopeful of an early resolution.

More than 100,000 workers from 22 smaller associations representing everyone from actors to spot boys were involved, said Suprant Sen, secretary general of the Film Producers Guild.

"Talks are going on, but for now all studios are closed."
There are no estimates for daily losses from the closure of studios that are mostly located in the north of the city.

Producers and broadcasters are hopeful of a quick resolution in the festival season, when advertising on air and movie ticket sales hit a peak.

Kareena Kapoor denies turning producer

It seems like the entire media personalities of city gathered across the Mall Road on Sunday night demanding for the right action to be taken against Saif. LOL. Immediately, Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, who incidentally had made his presence for an event there in the city, sent his party members Prem Singh Chandumajra of Shiromani Akali Dal and Raj Khurana to settle down the issue amicably. Finally, the journalists dispersed withdrawing their protest.
Nevertheless, both the journalists have lodged case against Saif Ali Khan. Railway Police have now registered a case against the actor under respective sections 506 (threatening to kill), 341 (assaulting), 536 (cause of damage) of IPC.

Hulla starts with Raj Puri (played by Sushant Singh) moving into a new house with his wife. Since he is a stockbroker, he has a very busy and noisy day, and he expects peace and quiet at home. But things start falling apart, as the nights are interrupted by a watchman's loud whistles (to keep the thieves at bay), causing Raj to stay awake the whole night.

Raj tries his best to keep the watchman from whistling like bribing him, offering him a new job... But the watchman is under the direct orders of the building secretary Janardhan (Rajat Kapoor [Images]), and he obviously, does not want to go against Janardhan, as he may lose his job.

The starts affecting Raj's life so much that his day-to-day life falls apart. His wife and friends think that he is over-reacting, he runs losses in the company, he turns unfriendly towards his neighbours, and soon, he gets paranoid and gets upset with every little sound.

The first half of the film, like I said earlier, is fantastic. It is truly entertaining and hilarious. But the second half is very disappointing. The film seems to take you to a high pitch, and then drop unexpectedly.

The cast is very good. You start sympathising with Sushant Singh and his trauma. If you had a hard day at work, the noise would drive you up the wall as well.

Yet, you probably would not hate Janardhan's character since he is a loser, who has never kept his family happy. His wife always compares him others, hurting his ego. The only way he can get rid of his frustration is his right to order around in the building, where he is the boss.

A watchman's whistle may seem to be a trivial thing to base an entire film upon. But the way Jaideep has executed his vision makes it such an important issue that you would want to stand up for Raj's cause. If only he had made the second half as interesting...

Appositely mirthful, surprisingly sweet, Welcome to Sajjanpur is one more trenchant piece of work from ace auteur Shyam Benegal. This flick isn't as appealing as worthy to be entitled 'The most dramatic comedy milieu'. It's not just about penning script inclusive of drollery aspects, but has something to a greater extent. Shyam Benegal depicts the present scenario of certain places of coetaneous rural Indian. Stiffly, Shyam spells out the satirical scenario of rural areas like Sajjanpur, where light of resurgence has been thrown people dwelling there. Still the same old superstitious beliefs, class ideologies, pathetic situations of widows, power blackouts and more havoc are prevalent.

Candidly, this film instigates us of far-famed television series Malgudi Days that doesn't fade away from our memories. Much likewise in its motif, Welcome to Sajjanpur has congruous characters of its own sort: a young lad dreaming to be a novelist but posing as letter writer, an intriguing eunuch, a despaired housewife missing her husband, a frustrated army man, a stupid entity seeking for power and that isn't the end. The long queue of unique characters is more and most makes you reflect them with real life hoi pollois.

Not so complicated in its theme, the film is so dewy-eyed with more enjoyable parts narrated with a blend of drama and humor. Shyam Benegal churning out the best exceptional flicks with substantial themes proves of his ability on commercial aspects on the pars. The film has nothing indeed to do with unique ideas, but what makes the film so especial are the personations contrived by auteur. With Bollywood films drenched with bloodbath and profane storylines, Sajjanpur welcomes you for a different tour of a great alleviation as it doesn't carry any of these attributes.

Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) happens to be the lonesome educated person in the village of Sajjanpur. Dreams about turning into a novelist, but fate let him to pose as letter-writer for all the villagers. Well, you have his perfect ethics of professionalism revealed where he doesn't use ball pens, but only ink pens. But Mahadev doesn't get himself ceased with it, for he pens the most commendable street plays. But, he doesn't want to get stuck up with unwanted hurdles and so remains assertive to a local political ruffian Ram Singh (Yaspal Sharma). Indeed, Ram Singh keeps seeking his help in penning letters of sulfurous words. Sooner, Mahadev realizes of his scrupulous potential of villagers dependent on him. It's now, he starts making use of his talent for something big that leads to bits of unexpected twists in the latter part.

Rigid characters and perfect casting of actors makes the film so energetic. Shreyas Talpade steals the show with his scintillating performance while Amrita Rao doesn't strain herself a lot. Yashpal Sharma, Ravi Kissen, Divya Dutta and others add more colors to the humor part. But, not at all time you feel trickling your ribs with comedy tracks.

Musical score by Shantanu Moitra blended with lyrical lines of Ashok Mishra and Swanand Kirkire is felicitous for your ears. But, are the songs really necessary for this film is a million dollar question and without them, the duration would have been bit reduced. Cinematography grips up your attention, particularly with the colossal shots of scenic ambiance. Nevertheless, Aseem's editing work look fallible at certain points, but it doesn't go so blatant. Dialogues penned by Ashok Mishra is sure to win accolades, but he could sparkled with screenplay, for its drops off with the pace here and there.

On the whole, Welcome to Sajjanpur entertains you with fun and frolic, but not so groovier. It's a chill-pill piece of work that makes you feel, the film is worth watching.

A sessions court has sent a legal notice to her and the owners of a five star hotel.

A social worker named Vinod Jain had filed an obscenity case against Ms.Sherawat and JW Marriot Hotel accusing the actress of performing in the hotel on December 31, 2006 wearing extremely revealing costumes.

The court has asked the two accused parties to give their clarifications before October 7.

A moving film about the struggles of an 8-year-old boy with learning disabilities was selected as India's entry for the best foreign film category for the 2009 Academy Awards, news reports said Sunday. Taare Zameen Par, meaning Stars on Earth, is Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's debut directorial film. It was released in 2007 and has received critical and box office acclaim.

Khan, who directed and produced the film, said it earned 28 million dollars at the box office worldwide, IANS news agency reported.

It is Khan's second bid for the Oscars. The film Lagaan, which he produced, reached the final nomination list in the foreign film category in 2002.

Members of the Film Federation of India jury met Saturday and praised all nine nominated films.

"But Taare Zameen Par has it all. It has been made so perfectly. There is perfect direction, screenplay, acting, script," juror and filmmaker Mahesh Kothare was quoted as saying. "There is no reason why it should not bring India an Oscar."

The film stars Darsheel Safary as a dyslexic boy and Khan as the teacher who helps the child come to terms with his predicament and to excel in a system that brands him a failure.

The Indian film industry churns out hundreds of films every year but has yet to win an Academy Award.

Though Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's Lagaan failed to win the Oscar award for the best foreign film in 2002, the actor hopes his maiden directorial venture Taare Zameen Par, nominated this year, has a strong impact on the Oscar's jury members.

“I'm really happy that Taare Zameen Par has been selected to represent India at an international forum like the Oscars,” Aamir said in a release.

“It is a film that is extremely close to my heart. It's a film that first sensitised me as a parent and as a person and then went on to have same effect on the audience in India and across the globe. I hope that it has an equally strong impact on the members of the Academy as well,” he added.

The release was issued following a 10-member jury set up by the Film Federation of India (FFI) announced the nomination in Mumbai on September 20.

Live Earth in India this year will bring Power!!

Al Gore's famous Live Earth concert for global warming awareness will be held in India this year.
India will host the next Live Earth concert to raise funds for lighting homes with solar energy in places where people do not have access to electricity, organizers said.

The December event will see rocker Jon Bon Jovi and Bollywood's biggest superstar, Amitabh Bachchan share the stage, and is described by organizers as one of the biggest events held in India.

The concert will be held in India's financial capital Mumbai on December 7, Live Earth founder Kevin Wall said in Mumbai.

"(Former Vice President) Al Gore asked me whether we could do this in India, and I said yes," Wall told Reuters in Mumbai. "This is going to be huge."

"Jon Bon Jovi is just one name and Mr Bachchan is just one name, but there will be a lot of international artists," he said.

Wall, who organized a series of concerts last year with the former vice-president, said the event in India would be telecast live in more than 100 countries.

Gore, who spoke via satellite this week during a news conference held in Mumbai on Thursday said India could provide the leadership required to bring about changes in world policies on climate change.

The proceeds from the concert will go to the "Light A Billion Lives campaign," supported by Nobel Prize-winner Rajendra Pachauri, the chairman of the United Nation's Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

At least 1.6 billion people worldwide do not have access to electricity, Pachauri said, adding that the campaign would target villages in countries like India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Malawi.

Organizers said they would set up giant screens and distribute televisions in remote villagers for the concert.

Only recently the American rapper Snoop Dogg was seen rapping to the title song of Singh Is Kinng with Akshay Kumar .

Now, rumour is rife that Fergie, the hip-hop, rap, R n’B singer-songwriter has been approached to sing a song for Shree Ashtavinayak’s production venture Blue that stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt , Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan .

According to the buzz, Fergie will sing a very steamy number for the film and will also shoot a music video with the film’s cast.

Saas Bahu Aur SenSex movie review

The film is a tale about a Parsi stock broker Firoze Sethna (Farooq Sheikh), who is 'rude and insensitive', oomphy Mrs Binita Sen (Kirron Kher) and a gaggle of women

Speaking of oomph, there seems to be an abundance of it here whether its older ladies like Lillete Dubey (playing the protagonist Ankur's Sindhi mother), Sharon Prabhakar (playing Punjabi-mouthing ribaldrous housewife who urges you not to miss the 'r' in her last name Brar) or the younger and of course, scantily clad women led by Tanushree Datta and Masumeh Makhija.

The characters are almost caricature-like. A group of stereotypical Tamil, Punjabi, Maharashtrian, Muslim, Sindhi and Bengali middle class housewives, led by Binita, want to invest their money in the roaring stock market even as it reaches the 10,000 level threshold.

The main plot -- if you can call it that -- entangles itself between the Sensex's journey from 7,000 to almost 30,000 points and the love triangle that embroils the life of newcomer, clumsy Ritesh Jethmalani (Ankur), greedy Kirti Wagaskar (Masumeh) and depressed-by-her-parents'-divorce Nitya Sen (Tanushree). There is no continuity in the storyline and characters lack depth.

Shona Urvashi treads the tried-and-tested formula of Mumbai-as-a microcosm-of-India where people (mostly saas and bahus) belonging to different religions and regions lead a normal life, which include gossiping about what their society's new arrival Binita is doing with Mr Sethna, discussing and mocking the sex lives of their neighbours, cracking ribaldrous jokes (watch the scene where Sharon Prabhakar holds two papayas in her hand and says, 'Aajkal lagata hai inki bhi plastic surgery hoti hai' and, of course, watching Saas Bhi Kabhi Kanya Thi.

This is, however, a sore attempt to ape Aziz Mirza's Nukkad or Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman characters albeit in a plush environ. The music, too, is not worth a mention.

However, if you think you are too disturbed or have lost a great fortune because of the current goings-on in the global financial market and have nothing else to do on a Saturday or Sunday -- the stock market remains closed on weekends -- then perhaps you can think of watching this forgettable movie.

Backstage is too serious now: Madhu Sapre

Once a fashion model who was rarely out of the limelight, Madhu Sapre has taken two years to walk the ramp again. But she says things have become very professional now and she misses the backstage fun of the earlier days.

'All the 'gupshup' (chit-chat) that we used to have backstage - it has become very professional and serious now. That fun ingredient is missing completely,' the former Miss India, who won the crown in 1992, said when asked what she misses the most.

Sapre walked the ramp for designer Ashish Soni at the HDIL India Couture Week (ICW) which is on here from Sep 16-21.

'It's always a nice feeling to be back on the ramp, after all it's the place that has given me identity. I am a bit nervous but excited at the same time,' Sapre, clad in a black deep neck cashmere gown, told IANS in an interview.

'Before every show I get nervous, but that pushes me to do my best every time, whenever I walk the ramp,' she said.

While the whole world believes in flaunting their tattos, Sapre managed to hide hers - a peacock feather on her back - for six years!

'It's been six years now that I got this tattoo done in Paris. No one knows about it, but you managed to spot it. The news is out now!' Sapre said.

'I have always loved feathers for some reason. When I wanted a tattoo, I knew it had to be a feather. It had to be elegant, beautiful yet feminine at the same time. Peacock feather fits the bill completely,' she added.

Sapre's tattoo is in the middle back and she manages to cover it up effortlessly.

'It's a very personal thing, I never made it for the public,' she explained.

Sapre had once shocked the moral brigade by appearing in a shoe advertisement with then boyfriend Milind Soman with just a python wrapped around them.

Dog got paid more than me says Chunky Pandey

Nineteen eighties' star Chunky Pandey, who is back in action these days, says he was in for a surprise when he signed Rajiv Ruia's film Ronnie & Rokky — he was getting paid less than a dog starring in the movie.

"A dog in the film was paid more than me because the producers imported it from Hollywood," Chunky said.

The dog's name is Richard and it is the offspring of the dog that played Jim Carrey's pet Milo in the 1994 Golden Globe nominated action comedy The Mask.

While Richard plays a dog that accidentally becomes animated in the film, Chunky essays the role of a pet detective in Ronnie & Rokky.

Chunky came into films in 1987 with Daraar, but it was his role in Tezaab that brought him fame. After that he gave hits like Vishwatma and Aankhen among others.

In the late 1990s, Chunky took a break from Bollywood due to dearth of offers, thanks to emerging actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. He moved to Bangladeshi films and became a star there.

"Apart from doing yoga to keep myself fit, I am a pure vegetarian. I don't eat meat and that has helped me a lot to keep fit," Kapoor told reporters here over the weekend.

"I am proud to be a vegetarian and I am against those who eat meat. Go green to be fit, that's the best way for me at least," she added.

Kapoor gave up non-vegetarian food in 2006, two years after she started dating actor and former beau Shahid Kapur, a strict vegetarian himself.

But even after her break-up with Shahid, the actress has continued to follow a vegetarian diet to keep her weight in check.

'Slumdog Millionaire' hits it big with audience award

The people have spoken, or at least voted. Slumdog Millionaire, a Dickensian fable that plunges into the noisy, colorful and perilous urban chaos of India, has joined the ranks of American Beauty, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Whale Rider as a winner of the People's Choice Award, selected by festivalgoers and often an Oscar harbinger.

Much like Jamal, the plucky teen orphan from the teeming streets of Mumbai who wins the jackpot on the Hindi version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? only to be accused of cheating, Slumdog has risen above its lowly status. The hard-to-market title was left in limbo after art-house label Warner Independent went under, until Fox Searchlight picked it up after an enthusiastic screening at Telluride.

"Four weeks ago, we were, like, dead," says British director Danny Boyle, best known for the drug-addicted rush of 1996's Trainspotting and zombie-style thrills of 2002's 28 Days Later. "We had no hope. We were homeless, and it's a bit like the film. These festivals put you on your feet."

Opening scenes of Jamal being tortured by police officers who question his answering skills cast a rather disturbing tone at first. But audience reaction from a flashback depicting the resourceful hero at age 7, resorting to a messy escape from an outhouse to get the autograph of his favorite Bollywood star, told Boyle his film had universal appeal.

"They went mad for it," he says of viewers at Telluride and later in Toronto. "I love that scene. It shows he is steely, he will do anything to get what he needs to get." That includes being coated in what is really chocolate and peanut butter.

The director estimates about 15% of the mostly English dialogue is in Hindi with subtitles, which could be considered a hindrance. But these are no ordinary subtitles. Set against blocks of vivid hues that pop up around the screen during chases, the device enhances the kinetic charge of sights and sounds.

"They are regarded by studios as barriers," Boyle says. "That's when you think, if you make it fun, maybe people will embrace it."

The true test arrives Nov. 28, when Slumdog Millionaire opens in limited release.

Ru Ba Ru movie review

Not that Hollywood flick ‘If Only’ was a great piece of cinema. But for some esoteric reason debutant director Arjun Bali chooses to disrobe the Jennifer Love Hewitt and Paul Nicholls-starrer and give it a new Indian garb in his Ru-Ba-Ru , starring Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami in lead roles.

Nikhil (Randeep) is a corporate yuppie too busy preparing his presentations to reciprocate small gestures of love to his live-in girlfriend Tara (Shahana), who’s a theatre actress. The couple are in love (or at least they think so) but something is amiss. She wants a long-term commitment from Nikhil who already appears married to his job.

Then something happens that makes Nikhil realize how he’s been taking Tara’s love for granted. Post interval, a reformed Nikhil gets to relive an entire day with Tara in the way he would have wanted. He takes her out and does everything that would make her happy. But then, something unexpected happens again.

Honestly, the plot of ‘Ru-Ba-Ru’ might have been quite intriguing, if not original. The whole concept of a guy getting to relive the same day again in a different way could have been appealing. But the director fails to bind the story and tell it in a way that keeps you hooked. The fault lies partly in the script and partly in Bali’s execution.

Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami, however, chip in commendable performances. The chemistry between them – their squabbles, tiffs and compromises – is too good to be anything but love. While Randeep’s dialogue delivery leaves a lot to be desired, Shahana is incredibly natural in her performance.

Do Multiplexes decide Bollywood fate?

The Indian film industry has suffered a spate of flops so far this year. The resultant poor box office collections have affected multiplexes as well. Trade sources estimate that from January to June 2008, of the 116 films that were released, only a few like Race and Jannat sent the cash registers ringing, while Krazzy 4 and Sarkar Raaj were declared as average grossers.

According to a trade analyst, another reason for the poor showing up of audiences at the mulitplexes was the high ticket prices at multiplexes. “The first half of the year saw many small budget films. Though these were rich in content and had a new star cast, they failed to draw audiences. Primarily, because these films were not well publicised and also the audiences did not feel the need to spend whopping sums to watch them at multiplexes,” he says. Bollywood has realised that it is a very discerning audience that they are catering to. So who is the real multiplex goer? Which is the target group that multiplexes largely count on? What factors draw audiences to multiplexes?

Joydeep Ghosh Roy, General Manager, marketing and sales, PVR Cinemas, feels it is the young audience between the age group of 15 to 35 years that multiplexes cater to. “These are the people with bulging pockets and high disposable incomes who don’t mind spending money at multiplexes.” For instance, a multiplex goer at Mumbai will spend on an average Rs 275, while those in smaller towns like Aurangabad, will spend Rs 150, informs Roy. Yet, he says, “We cannot afford to be choosy towards a particular target audience as the age group of movie goers varies as per the genre of a film.”

Some multiplexes feel that tickets are not the ‘deciding factor’ for determining footfalls. Explains Devang Sampat, Senior Vice President, marketing and programming, Cinemax India, “The content of a film is the most important factor that attracts audiences to theatres, which has been missing this year.” When does the audience trickle in to watch films and when do they rush towards multiplex screens? Multiplexes have observed that weekends are the busiest. The ticket prices differ for the weekdays and weekends show though. They are relatively higher during the weekends.

The Last Lear movie review

If you are planning to get relinquished of watching an exceptional film and if you are ardent fan of Shakespeare and Fedrico Fellini's style of films, The Last Lear would be best one. While for others, it's about dashing their hopes.
Nothing to blame on the performance of star-casts: especially the breathtaking performance of Amitabh Bachchan… His stunning action of pleading Arjun Rampal about performing the climax sequence without any dupes is a chef-d'oeuvre.
Rituparno Ghosh pitches 'The Last Lear', based on the classic play 'Aajker Shahensha' by Utpal Dutt. Alas! It's a paradise for minuscule audiences while for the rest its 120mins, world of hellhole. Unlike his previous flick, 'Rain Coat', this trenchant piece of work goes dashing down the hopes of many. Reason is so simple: Lots of Shakespearean poesies and you know who loves it the most? Nevertheless, 'Last Lear' would be an epithet of how an enchanting play would be metamorphosed into a blemishing wretched film because of it screenplay.

Siddharth (Arjun Rampal), a struggling auteur with dreams of making films on realisms is on search of some actor who would be a worthy actor to play lead role in his film. He finally settles down on an aged play actor Harry (Amitabh Bacchan), who has no likeliness towards cinema.

But the actor still looks cherished on uttering libretto with a bold tone of voice. Residing in house of closed windows and dim-lit rooms, Harry finds Siddarth going much similar with his ideologies. Well, it all starts with cup of vodkas, cheerful interaction and then what? The curtains rise up in the frame, where Harry plays the role of an ageing clown named Maqbool. Over these hours of shooting for the film, Harry gets into a new friendship with actress Shabnam (Preity Zinta). While, the film is winning grand round of applause at premiere show, but Harry tightly holds him back into his dim-lit dark room with the doors tightly shut. No one cares and the premiere still goes on and here reveals the selfish motives of entities…

On the traits of screenplay, Rituparno Ghosh fails at certain points and more specifically at the flimsy climax. Despites possessing fantabulous theme and strong characterizations, nothing works out the magic. It's not just about these two characters of Harry and Siddarth, but Rituparno depicts a strong color of feminism. Fine! Preity Zinta, Shefali Shah and Divya Dutta dominate the screen during most of the times. But they are worthless, when it comes to narration and Ghosh should have spelt out purely for commercial panoramas. This happens to be the queasiest spoiler of this flick.

But don't miss out the comedic encounters between Arjun Rampal and Amitabh Bachchan.

1920 Movie Review

Screenwriter Vikram Bhatt attempts to thrust a weight over the theme of exorcism by taking the supernatural theme to British India. So we have soldiers, mutineers, rebels and renegades popping into the Scottish scenario like random guests at a outdoor masquerade party.

And then we have a doctor mentioning a certain 'Dr Sigmund Fried' who is doing research somewhere far away from this film's horrific domestic tussles, researching on the human psychology.

By the time we get to the grisly climax with flying chairs and human limbs, writer-director Bhatt, trying to do a razz-matazz to his supernatural hit 'Raaz' five years ago, is on to a bigger formula.

Another review goes like this,

1920 has spooky atmosphere, a wicked twist and turns and an ice-cold grabber of a performance by Adah Sharma.

Set at the backdrops of 1920, a young couple recently entered into nuptials despites life-threatening opposition from the boy's father. Arjun Singh Rathod (Rajneesh Duggal), a religious entity turns into an atheist when his family is urged to kill his wife Lisa (Adah Sharma). Arjun, an architect wizard and Lisa have to now move to exotic location of Palanpur where he is assigned to shatter down an old palace for constructing a new hotel. An excellent picturesque of new place that makes the couple feel like paradise, but there is something abnormal sensed by Lisa in this Old Haveli. These mysterious signs start haunting Lisa and much before Arjun could believe her, Lisa is already obsessed by a spirit. Here starts, the rolling waves of horrific scenario where Arjun starts assaying of settling-scores with evil spirit that his wife possesses. Indeed, Arjun has to bear the jeopardizing stunts of his possessed wife performing gymnastics. Remember, it's not just about casting away an evil spell, but there is whole lot of mysteries to be unraveled between past life of Lisa and her colligation with Old Haveli.

Don't miss out the horrific thrills; you are sure to frozen with bewitching elements that is sure to get your spines frozen. Peculiarly, the first of transfiguration of Lisa not just takes Arjun into topsy-turvy, but scares us a lot. Merely, the best part is where Lisa is pulled into a Dark black hole of a room just before interval. But makes the film so clichéd, is the bright white-bluish eyes of ghost-haunted entity. These aspects crawls down pace of screenplay and indeed getting us loose our interest. On the pars, 1920 holds several clichéd aspects of horror flicks. It's always a woman who is possessed and of course, the ghost too is a female. Thanks to Vikram Bhatt, he has a male spirit haunting the missy and perhaps, it doesn't show any mercy to the victim as in other flicks (Bhooth). Again, Arjun spots himself under the category of husbands who devotedly work on rescuing their wives. Finally, the big conversation that goes on between a religious person and a Doctor on Science Vs Supernatural issues. But, these features are locked up within short time and you have something more to watch.

Dialogues are so penchant: be it Arjun's rigid conversation with his father in the opening sequence or the conversation held between priests, but again, it would be great if the term 'Multiple Personality Disorder' is fended off.

On the technical traits, Cinematography and background score are merely enthralling. Cinematographer Pravin Bhatt spells his enchanting piece of work right throughout the film. The painted backdrops of beautiful locations of Allerton Castle in London are chilling for eyes while on the other end; he brings you the horrifying feel with unique lighting and camera angles. Adnan Sami isn't so impressive with the songs, but his background score enhances the visual quality…

Getting on with performance, Adah Sharma playing the victimized role steals the show with her over-the-top performance. If one does get resisted with the horrific thrills, obviously it's Adah Sharma who maintains the racy tempo all throughout the film. Anjori Alagh on her role of holding the mysterious secret exceeds our expectations. Rajneesh Duggal performs his best in the first half, but his characterization goes diminished in the latter part with Adhah Sharma and Anjori Alagh who overshadowing him.

Well, if you are on the urge of deciding the best between this film and Ram Gopal Varma's Phoonk, we are sure 1920 is over-the-top. Hats off to Vikram Bhatt, for he hasn't just penned a horror story, but has delivered the smartest work on designing powerful characterizations and best technical quality.

Shah Rukh Khan in double role, latest pis of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Shah Rukh Khan’s fans will get to see him in a double role in the Aditya Chopra directed Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi .
Not much is known about the movie, but it is said that the movie’s inspired by the Amol Palekar classic Golmaal. You might get to see Shah Rukh Khan as a simpleton(should I say Gavaar ?) in one role while a hippie in another. It’s going to be a romantic comedy. Rani Mukherjee will be performing an item number in the film. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will also serve as the launch pad for newbie Anushka Sharma .
The tentative release date of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is 12th December, 2008. Hope this movie turns out to be good. Shah Rukh’s been through a bumpy year(his fight with Salman Khan ) hence the success of this film would be a big relief for him. Whether the film is a hit or a miss needs to be seen, but about Shah Rukh and Aditya Chopra I can say Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Sanjay Dutt is brand ambassador for boxing in India

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is popular for playing the golden-hearted gangster in the 'Munnabhai' movies, was Friday appointed the brand ambassador for boxing of the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF).

Making the announcement here in Dutt's presence, IABF president Abhey Singh Chautala said that boxing had recently brought laurels to the country in the Beijing Olympics and the sport needed a well-known brand ambassador to promote it further.

Dutt came here to witness the ongoing national boxing championship.

Indian boxer Vijender Kumar, who hails from Bhiwani town in neighbouring Haryana, won the country's first bronze medal in boxing in the Beijing Olympics.

'Fatwa' against Salman Khan, family for celebrating Ganeshotsav

Veteran Bollywood scriptwriter Salim Khan, the father of actor Salman Khan, Friday questioned a fatwa, religious edict, against him by some Muslim organizations for celebrating Ganeshotsav at their home here.
Mufti Manjar Hassan Khan Ashrafi Misbahi, the chief of Darul-Uloom Hijaziya Chishti, Mumbai, issued the 'fatwa' urging a religious boycott of the entire Khan family on Wednesday.
The social boycott call was issued in response to a demand by Abdul Rehman Anjaria, member of the Advisory Council, Jama Masjid, New Delhi.

Anjaria, who is also member All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), told IANS Friday evening that the 'fatwa' would be in force until Khan and his family atone for their actions of worshipping an idol of Lord Ganesh, which is not permitted in Islam.

Justifying the decision to celebrate Ganeshotsav, Salim said his wife (Salman's mother) is a Maharashtrian Hindu and “worshipping Lord Ganesh is in my blood”.

Masumeh wins media

Golmaal Returns Preview

The development of the story and the turning point of 'Golmal Returns' is in the letter written by Ekta played by Kareena Kapoor to a person named Anthony Gonsalves who actually does not exist but is made up by her husband Gopal played by Ajay Devgan as a lie to escape from the nagging doubts of his wife.

Gopal one day saves a stunning young lady named Meera played by Celina Jaitly from some goons on his way back from office and thus gets stuck in a yacht for the night due to some reasons.

After reaching home the next day, he is confronted by his wife Ekta who already is very much suspicious about her husband flirting with the girls in his office and is a dedicated viewer of all the Saas bahu serials.

Upon questioning by his wife and knowing that whatever he says, it will be very hard to make her believe that he was not into anything with any other girl, Gopal invents the character of a fictitious friend and names him Antony Gonsalves.

He tells Ekta that he had spent the night with his friend.

Ekta still find hard to digest Gopal's story and decides to write to Antony requesting him to come to the house and visit her.

Now Gopal in order to end the whole Antony Gonsalves episode once and for all convinces one of his juniors Laxman played by Shreyas Talpade to pretend that he is Anthony and visit his wife.

Laxman goes ahead with Gopal's plan but somewhere else the letter which was sent to an assumed address unbelievably turns out to be real.

To give more trouble to Gopal, a dead body is found at the same place in which he had saved Meera.

Maadhav, the investigating officer played by Arshad Waarsi enters the frame.

He is the boyfriend of Esha who is Gopal's sister and does not like his girlfriend's brother.

Madhav finds out that Gopal was missing from home the very same night the murder took place and the dead person is also an employee of his company.

There is also the character called Lucky (Tusshar Kappor) caught up amid the chaos started off by the investigating officer. He is the brother in law of Gopal and is considered as a dumb guy.

The other actors in the film are Amrita Arora, Anjana Sukhani, Mushesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma.

'Golmal Returns' is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Dhilin Mehta under the banner of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.

Pritam Chakraborty is the music director of this film to be released on October 31.
